It's been about a year since I first started feeding Django wholesome with no artificial ingredients. In that time, her ear infections have lessened significantly. I find it astounding how removing unnatural ingredients from a food can kick-off a quick turn-around of lifelong symptoms. I shouldn't be so surprised because I see in in my own daughter who must remain adhere to a natural, preservative free diet, and now I see it in my furry daughter. Django not only had recurrent, painful ear infections, she also had patches of dry, itchy skin on her underarms and tail. I tried every cream imaginable but nothing truly helped until I took the artificial ingredients out of her diet.
It wasn't easy at first because you all know how incredibly picky Django can be, but I gained experience from adopting a natural diet for Kate. Having a picky dog begin eating a new diet is always a challenge, and although I haven't tasted them, I can tell from Django's reaction that not all dog foods offer the same taste (and they certainly do not offer the same ingredients).
