It's been an incredibly cold winter so far here in New York City as well as many other parts of the country, which makes it incredibly sad when you think about all the poor animals out in the cold. It goes without saying that is up to us all to report any animals we see left outside in the freezing cold because in many chances, we are their only hope for survival.
To help our pets and all animals stay safe and warm in this frozen city, the ASPCA has created an infographic to stress the importance of cold weather safety for pets.
Even with our own indoor pups (many of whom sleep in a warm, comfy bed or share ours each night), it is necessary to take proper precautions. Fully exposed to the elements, they have no water-proof boots, gloves, or hats and require special care.
Please take a minute to scroll through the five slides below and then consider sharing them to foster awareness for all animals this winter.
